First News: Well it's local news and it's pretty fluffy but it's not as bad as Channel 9's 4 pm newscast. Plus if you know the word of the day and they call you, you can win money!
Enterprise: I don't feel as fired-up about this show as I did about its predecessors, but it doesn't suck and I need a little variety in my viewing.
ER: Often a stressful viewing experience and yet I am drawn to it -- like a moth to the flame?
Do you ever get the feeling that watching the BBC news that they seemed to approach news with civility and without sensationalism and ratings in mind? I somehow feel informed when I watch the BBC news broadcasts.
Have you ever watched PBS' Newhour? Also a very reasoned, informative news broadcast that doesn't resort to hysterics, ratings pandering, or tie-ins with network programs (After Jurrasic Park tonight, learn about dinosaurs in Oklahoma!).
I love the show, but I wish it came on an hour later in my market. I don't get home until it is half over.
