I will gratefully welcome your comments, especially your opinions of the albums I should absolutely own from these artists and bands...
And I will post the list of those 800+ CDs I own when I finish typing it and I don't have to tell you guys that it takes time to do that...

The Beatles are my favorite band of all time. They're also the best band of all time. Do you not care for their music too much, or have you just not 'gotten around' to getting their CDs yet?
I have not liked the Beatles for a very long time and for various reasons which would probably take too long to explain... but basically I started exploring rock&pop music in 1991 through Tom Petty, which quickly lead me to Bob Dylan and the New York folk revival and the 60's California rock scene... I didn't even feel the need for the Beatles then... I should also point out that my family has a history of siding with The Stones against The Beatles so that didn't help either... and the fact that The Beatles are on the radio all the time didn't compel me to buy any CD... then I took the time to really listen to them and after liking their early catchy pop songs I realized I enjoyed their later psychedelic work more... I would say I really enjoy the Beatles from 66 to 68 but not too much before or after that period... As for the affirmation that they were the best band of all-time, that is definitely open for debate, though I recognize that they are strong contenders to the title I don't believe that they have it 100% locked...
