This list is in more or less chronological order, as I remember seeing these acts, all of them live. The second one fits in with an interview I read.
The show was funnier in the 70s, but the music was better in the late 80s and early 90s. I didn't listen to much commercial radio between 1972 and 1987. Did I miss anything?
