No Beatles, eh?
Just curious. I personally tend to favor their later singles.

The Beatles first US single was released on 1/25/64. They will be all over the next seven years.
Close (I Want to Hold Your Hand was released as a US single on December 26, 1963 - on 1/25/64, it was number three with its second week in the Billboard top 100 and its first week in the top 10), but I didn't realize you were limiting your lists to American singles. I see clearly now!

Les, I Want To Hold Your Hand was released on Dec. 26 1963, yes, thats right. However, it did not enter the top 40 until the new year, 1964. Thus it was a 1964 top 40 hit. hate to get so tecnical.
Absolutely right.
Shalom, y'all!
