Author Comments:
Robert Silverberg is one of my favourite authors.
The dates shown are the approximate dates that I read (finished) the book, although I didn't record the exact dates of the earlier books - only the years.

I've read twelve of these. My list of the top three would be (1) Dying Inside, (2) Downward to the Earth, (3) Nightwings. Tower of Glass is the only one I've read that you haven't. Silverberg short stories that spring to mind are "The Sixth Palace" and "Our Lady of the Sauropods".
I really enjoyed Downward To The Earth, and it would compete at fourth or fifth on my list with The Book of Skulls. However, I couldn't get into Nightwings, my loss I am sure because I know it is highly-rated.
I can recommend very highly Those Who Watch and Lord Valentine's Castle, the latter I considered matched Dune in some respects but more readable. The Majipoor Chronicles is a follow-up to Lord Valentine's Castle, set on the same planet, but miscellaneous stories about characters not from Lord Valentine's Castle, although I have not read it yet.
Dying Inside rools !
Hey Jim - why do my updates not seem to appear in the 'recent updates' panel on the left ?
Does my profile automatically default to "Check here if you do NOT want these changes to bump your list to the top of the "recent updates" page" ?
I have deja vu. :-) You aren't being singled out: I see "All-Time Favorite TV Shows" by you in the "recent updates" box as I type this.
