- for a list of songs lifted heavily from by led zeppelin (i'm being polite because i happen to enjoy them), see wilson and allroy's page
- vanilla ice getting away with his uncredited "sampling" of queen & david bowie's "under pressure"

Although Led Zeppelin did rip-off just about every great blues artist, they got their come-uppance b/c just every bad hair metal band ripped them off.
True, although those band are pretty much taking the sounds and riffs. Led stole entire tunes!

Mariah Carey's camp sadly trying to wipe Glitter from her CV because they say soundtrack albums just don't count.
As Stephen Thomas Erlewine (the greatest living rock critic) pointed out, what? Prince doesn't get to count Purple Rain any more?
