Just curious Jeff . . . What did you revise on this list? I can't remember the old one; did something get bumped?

Well..yeah Jim. I switched #4 and #5. The Hustler is new, and Streetcar named Desire moved down several spots.

Hmmm... very interesting list. I haven't seen Last Tango in Paris, The Man Who Fell To Earth, Ordinary People, Last Year At Marienbad, The Hustler, or Reds.

Of those I've seen, the one I'm most surprised to see is probably Das Boot - but then, I've never understood what's so great about that movie. It's good, sure, but it didn't seem that special to me - just a whole bunch of 'the ship's being destroyed! Patch it up! Evade the bomb! It's falling apart again!'

It's very interesting that Citizen Kane didn't even make it - that's near the top of every 'greatest films' list I've seen before. A daring decision, perhaps, though not really one I agree with.

I guess I'm happiest to see Cuckoo's Nest, 2001, Best Years of Our Lives, Wonderful Life, and Taxi Driver on the list.
