- Spawns disgusting product spinoffs such as Harry Potter Bath Gel (yes, this is a real product).
- Several con-artists have been caught starting "wizard schools" to swindle money out of hopelessly inept Potter fans.
- Painfully annoying hype over random movie will probably cause six year olds to be trampled to death waiting in line for tickets.
- Plush Harry Potter dolls made in Chinese sweatshops by children smart enough not to read Harry Potter.
- Pathetic cult following enables grown adults to bond over uncanny interest in life of small, fictitious boy.
- Sick of that stupid striped shirt.
Yow! Just curious . . . Have you read any of the HP books?
i'm also suspicious of this list...something tells me that frida has read none of these books. perhaps this is just a backlash from someone who is sick of the harry potter hype machine, not the books themselves.
i think someday frida should try reading the first book. at least give it a chance before you condemn it.
