: As good as a U2 compilation from the '80s should be. Very good.

i can see we're pretty much in agreement here. can't see any major differences maybe : The Sweetest Thing = 10.0 / 10. i rated it 7.0 / 10 (I think) your thoughts on that track? just so i know then i'll think up a counter atttack!
--ack, sorry if you already saw this, you originally put Desire and I didn't noticed you'd changed it to Sweetest Thing, fixed now--
I think it has the perfect background music and timing, and the lyrics are great. Plus the video rules! In my top 10 U2 tracks.
sorry about the typo before - my bad ;)
yeah it does have great lyrics true, but i think my issue with Sweetest Thing, is that its insanely popular and alot of people see that song As "U2" thats what they are and yes great song it is but itys not the highest (best) moment of their career. but its a good song i guess.
Have you heard the New Voices of Freedom version of "Sweetest Thing." It's off of the Scrooged soundtrack and it's the reason I threw down for the 12" of "Where the Streets Have No Name."
Vinyl. Can you believe it? If I'd known that a digital (slightly remixed) version was on the way then my life would be completely different today. I also regret killing that butterfly... I'm keeping the toaster.
I like the Rattle and Hum version of "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" but I think the best part of the song is when Bono introduces "New Voices of Freedom!" It's much the same thrill as hearing the overdubbed Peter Gabriel yell, "The legendary voice... of Papa Wemba!" during the live version of "In Your Eyes" (from Secret World Live .) Bono is such a soulful singer... but he's certainly not a soul singer.
That's so much more pretentious than trying to become the de facto President of the World Bank (and wouldn't he make a great one....)
still waiting with joy for your "Garden state: Rating The Tracks" can't wait! :)
D'oh, I forgot! Here it is, fantastic soundtrack.
