Rating the Films: Tony Scott

Tony is a much more commercial director than his brother Ridley, and his output has tended more towards mediocrity, although he’s not without his own hits. He’s spent almost all of his career in the action genre, and his films tend to have a similarly strong color vibrancy, as if they were almost comics rather than reality. Here’s how his films rate.

I've rated the films from a zero (horrible!) to four (wonderful!) star scale, with the links going to my reviews. As usual, I've only included films I've seen.

You rated my two favourite Tony Scott films lower than my least favourite.

Silly opinions

Hmmm. I'm guessing you like True Romance and The Last Boy Scout much more than (the least favorite is much harder) Top Gun. How close am I?

That is 100% correct

Both of those films have some serious cult following (and a lot from people on this site), and especially in the case of True Romance, I can see why. Neither film quite makes the case for me, but I understand it.
