Besson is a gifted director who has lost his way artistically in the last five years or so. He’s mostly moved into writing and producing bad action films, which is unfortunate. Here’s how his films rate.
I've rated the films from a zero (horrible!) to four (wonderful!) star scale, with the links going to my reviews. As usual, I've only included films I've seen.
Didn't he write/direct The Professional?
Yes, he's written (and at least co-produced) almost everything he's ever directed. It's just that recently he's moved into the writing and producing aspects and hasn't been directing.
