Frankenheimer was a great craftsman, even when working on prjects that seemed beneath him. A very steady filmmaker who had no problems working in genre films (like many of his generation, he started in TV), he also made some great political dramas. Here's how his films rate.

I've rated the films from a zero (horrible!) to four (wonderful!) star scale, with the links going to my reviews. As usual, I've only included films I've seen.
