Author Comments:
Kurosawa's competing influences from Hollywood (he loved Westerns) and his Japanese background mingled together to produce some of the greatest films ever made. His long-standing relationship with actor Toshiro Mifune added to the power of his films. This is how his films rate.
I've rated the films from a zero (horrible!) to four (wonderful!) star scale, with the links going to my reviews. As usual, I've only included films I've seen.

Would you mind writing a review of "Rashomon"? I'm not too familiar with Kurosawa, but I have seen "Rashomon", and I really love that movie. I guess you enjoyed it but found something in the movie that keeps it from aspiring to a 3.5- or 4-star movie. I was wondering what you found lacking about it.
There you go...
Well, I don't agree with what you said (the overracting didn't bother me a bit, and I have a pretty short attention span when you're talking about long movies, but I didn't think "Rashomon" was too long at all), but I certainly respect your views. Thanks, I was interested in what you thought of it.
