- With cell phones and SUVs on every corner.
- I am among the scattered losers.
- I haven't taken a fresh breath in years,
- Yet still
- I exhale.
- Sitting here alone
- Gazing at the slimy surface of the sewage,
- I spy beneath the bobbing butts and beer cans
- A glisten.
- Could the oysters still be below
- Gathering the grit and grime,
- Silent and invisible?
- I need to feel the thrill
- Of diving again.

I noticed that but I thought you were just taking liberties with the punctuation: "I need the feel, the thrill, of diving again." I like the correct version too. :-)
I have been known to take liberties, so that is certainly understandable!
