Overly Praiseworthy Things People Have Said About Tiesto

  • Tiesto has made some good tracks but in my opinion he is massively over-rated. This is just a random list of things i have seen written about him bigging him up as this God like figure...which i dont think he is!
  • "tiesto is the king of trance he should b calld sir tiesto"
  • "this is best of tiesto !!! " (talking about Adgaio For Strings)
  • "this is the best "song" ever!!! dj Tiesto is an incredible dj and his songs are awesome" (once again in reference to Adagio)
  • "best song ever in de fuckin world absolutely legandary wat more? can i say!!!" (further praise for Adagio)
  • "tiesto is the best no1 can ever beat him :D"
  • "Tiesto is a a genious"
  • "dj tiesto=dj king"
  • "he has no rival in this universe "
  • "the best dj in the wordl"
  • I will add more....its just rather time consuming as there are so many!!!

I have no problem with people saying that he is thier favourite....thats thier opinion and they are entitled to that.
What i do have a problem with is all the people saying he is the best despite the fact that he is all they have heard along with "Sandstorm"

I think Tiesto sucks, but being the "best DJ" is subjective, so how can it be ignorant? I realize that these people are probably teenagers who don't have a broad spectrum of music, but is not liking the same kind of music you do really "ignorance"?

Sorry, i probs didnt make it clear enough....what i meant by "ignorence" was people that havent listened to that much else saying he is a god....If they put "in my opinion" after that would be fine but these people dont and when you politely point out that tiesto isnt the only person worth listening to they retaliate with some comment like "you just dont like good trance" or "he is voted the best so he must be the best"

I wasnt saying they are ignorent becasue they listened to different music to me.

Do you have a better word that i could replace Ignorent with if i havent justified its use just then....i dont want to sound like a snob!!!!

Maybe 'ridiculous'? I don't know, it's your list - I didn't want to make it sound like I thought you were a snob, but people who write comments like that are usually like 12 years old, which I guess is a good age to be listening to Tiesto :P (hell when I was 12 I was obsessed with Fatboy Slim)

I have it....."overly praiseworthy" instead of ignorent. That will be better i think.

You undercut your argument when keep the typo in "ignorant"... unless the use is ironic. That would make me a moran.

...and in the time it took me to write this it seems that the problem is misspelling. To quote my brother: "Spel chek is the least of Sherif Brodies problems."

Do you mind elaborating....are you saying that im ignorent because i cant spell properly????

I am definitely not saying that you are either ignorant or ignorent because you can't or won't spell properly. What I was trying to do, in a quiet, respectful and unobtrusive way, was to bring the misspelling in your list's title to your attention. That way, if you chose to, you could change it without appearing ignorant or ignorent.

Normally I hold my tongue at typos/misspellings. It's the editor in me that dies a little every time that I misspell something that makes it difficult. It doesn't matter if it's because of a typo, ignorance, ignorence, going too fast, not getting enough sleep or any of a hundred different excuses; it doesn't matter if I catch the mistake before anyone else does, even two years later it still rankles.

If the ignorent misspelling had been in the body of your list I don't think I would have tried to help. I'm fairly good at looking past those kinds of things along with uncapitalized contractions and excessively questionable punctuation usage. Once I found the graphic I was looking for you had already written a post which revealed "ignorent" to be more than a typo. So I made up a quote by my brother to further soften and obscure the blow with further humour.

And now what once was "Ignorent" has become "Overly Praiseworthy."
