L. Bangs

Marion Cotillard was one of the two top contenders, but I really did think Julie Christie was going to get it, possibly because she was so great. Of course, Cotillard's performance may be great too, but I haven't seen the movie.

A couple of my Who I'd Like to Wins worked out actually. I'm actually really glad that Sweeney Todd won Art Direction, that There Will Be Blood won Cinematography, and that Transformers didn't win anything (even if it means poor Kevin O'Connell continues his losing streak; next year, buddy!).

Of course, the most interesting surprise of the night was probably not deserving, but I certainly was surprised.
