Given the nominees, here are my predictions. Some of the categories are a wild guess.








Very nice predictions. I'm beginning to rethink my prediction of a LOTR upset. In researching for my trivia game, I found a blurb saying that, in the past 18 years, the movie with the most nominations has won Best Picture 17 times out of 18. And ROTK has the most noms here, so...
Unless it's just more build-up for ROTK's upset... :-)
I also was surprised at first by your prediction of Marcia Gay Harden, but now I'm beginning to like that choice too. I always thought Zellweger was a lock for that one, but clearly, the Academy doesn't like "Cold Mountain" as much as I thought. Your prediction of no wins for "Cold Mountain" might be dead-on.
But man, I'm gonna have a hell of a time predicting the winners this year.
