Author Comments:
Once almost every western had a defenestration scene; it was traditionally part of the saloon brawl.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have suggestions, cases of self-defenestration are not being included here.

The Hours - Ed Harris has a self-defenestration scene. Actually, does that count?
AJ, I swear I had just come back from 'edit' where I was adding the PLEASE NOTE and I found your suggestion waiting for me. Sorry about that.
Wow, that is bizarre. No problem though - your list, your rules. I'll try to think of other suggestions.
You have subtly pointed out to me that my comments following the titles need to be in spoiler mode. Gee I'm dense sometimes. Thanks.
Hmmm. What do you think, Jim, should I make each comment in spoiler mode, or will a spoiler warning added to the list's title suffice?
I think this way's better, because people can choose to read the description for a movie they don't mind spoiling or have already scene, while still being spared from potential spoilers in other movies.
Yes, you're probably right. Thanks.
Regarding the Hours: I only put spoiler tags on my comment because Ed Harris's suicide seemed like an important plot point. I do not think that, say, the Toy Story scene contains any information that could constitute a spoiler.
On the other hand it is a plot point involving the two main characters, so many might consider it spoilable.
I've never been defenestrated, but I love watching other people do it.
You sound as if you regret having missed out on something :-D
Yes. 'Tis a pleasure greatly to be desired.
It's slapping self upside the head time. I've had to remove The Princess Bride from the list because I badly misremembered the scene. She jumps, Fezzik catches her.
You guys should have caught me out on that one :-D
