- The L Word - Season 1
(... I don't remember.)

This show is a total revelation to me... It's largely responsible for pulling me out of my recent profound depression. I know there are monumentally cheesy bits, and even annoying bits. I don't care. I am enraptured.... It's certainly the most complete and authentic portrayal of lesbians I've ever seen.
Somebody, please, bring me Shane on a platter.... Gods! To paraphrase another part of the show, she completely dismantles me. And the greatest part of that is that the things I find most attractive about her are all things I've seen in Karen as well. So, bonus.
(Yes, I meant 8 stars... I might mean 9. After seeing the first disk of this set, Karen immediately abandonned the rest of our queue for these DVDs, and ordered Showtime.) - Dead Like Me - Season 1
(Mutual choice.)
Totally a new favorite, Peach actually recommended this to us, and it seems he knows us very well. Moody 18 yr old gets killed by a toilet seat that falls off the Mir Space Station and gets recruited to be a grim reaper. Wackiness ensues. Worthwhile for the opening credits alone. - Runaway Jury
(J's choice.)
You know, I totally thought I'd like this movie, but it was like pulling teeth trying to actually keep my attention on it. It took 3 tries to actually finish it, and afterwards I was still bored. And I'm such a fan of both Ms Weisz and Mr Cusack. Both so sexy.... (God, I'm so bi.) - You Can't Take It With You
(K's choice.)
Quality Frank Capra. Positively glorious comedy; completely exemplifies that creative joy in life that I try so hard to embrace. - Mean Girls
(K's choice.)
My baby has a serious thing for Lindsay Lohan, and I can't really blame her. Chick's a cutie. It was a fun movie. Total fluff, of course, but fun. Plus it had one of the stars of K's new favorite show, Veronica Mars, so cool. - The Day After Tomorrow
(Mutual choice.)
I really liked this one... Good, solid apocalyptic action, with an awesome message. - Twisted
(K's choice.)
My mom highly recommended this movie, but it seemed like pretty standard fare to me... Not that I didn't like it mind you, note the 4 stars it received, but I couldn't help thinking that if she really liked it so much I could recommend 4 or 5 others just like it. I think the biggest drawback for both of us was Ashley Judd's "acting." And we really like her, too. - Big Fish
(J's choice.)
Karen didn't even bother watching this one, but I maintain she should have. I mean, come on. It's a movie about Southern Fables and the people who tell them. I was expecting it to be prettier than it ended up being, but not by much. It's one I would consider buying a copy of. - Monster
(K's choice.)
Monster was one of those movies that was really good in the being incredibly well done way, rather than the enjoyable to watch way. Oh, the crying.
Also, Karen's coworker is a putz. I love Christina Ricci as much as the next person, but there's no way in hell she's responsible for Charlize Theron's outstanding performance. Good for her for having such rabid fans though.

We just got Netflix... and I have bunches of opinions.
