But believe it or not, not only have these two been in a movie together, there have been 6 movies that they've co-starred in! Imagine that. Can you name them all?) - Glory Daze, School Ties, Chasing Amy, Good Will Hunting, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, thanks to AAA
Author Comments:
I've noticed that I steal my best games from one person: so thanks a lot, dgeiser13! I liked his list so much that I had to clone it. Now, my pairs don't exactly follow all the same rules as the ones in his list, but they're still pretty recognizable.
I actually didn't intend this, but in retrospect, virtually every one of these movies is a comedy, because there are so many weird actor pairings.
Cloned From:

Don Ameche and Eddie Murphy-
one has to be Trading Places
Kevin Bacon and Michael McKean-
I would guess likely JFK
Gene Wilder and Donald Sutherland-
possibly Silver Streak?
DA + EM - Yeah, and I'll just give you credit for both, because the other one isn't really fair. Don Ameche and Ralph Bellamy had very minor roles in Eddie Murphy's "Coming to America", playing the Dukes, who are now bums living on the street. But Ameche's appearance in "Coming to America" really isn't enough to qualify him for this list.
I'm afraid that Michael McKean wasn't in "JFK" and Donald Sutherland wasn't in "Silver Streak." Good guesses though, and you have the honor of being the first correct response on this list.
10: Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult
18: The Big Picture
20: Easy Rider?
24: The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai: Across The 8th Dimension
26: Midnight Run
27: Caddyshack 2
Well done! All right except for #20. Aack, no time to update the list now, I'll give you credit later, riffraff.
Alright, just find this list. Let's see...
2. Mother
7. :) Short Cuts
14. Defending Your Life (GREAT film)
16. Crimes and Misdemeanors
That's all off the top of my head.
Shalom, y'all!
L. Bangs
Nice - all correct. And yes, "Defending Your Life" is indeed a GREAT film.
Here's a great one.
Name TWO films with Sean Connery and Gert Frobe.
Bonus: Name TWO films with Gert Frobe based on Ian Fleming books.
Shalom, y'all!
L. Bangs
Didn't Gert Frobe play Goldfinger in "Goldfinger"? That'd be one of the films with Sean Connery and one of the films based on Ian Fleming books, but I don't know the other two.
That's one correct on both! :)
Good luck on the rest!
Shalom, y'all!
L. Bangs
30. Chasing Amy, Good Will Hunting, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and... Well, that's a few. I cheated and looked up the other two. Hmmm... Also another answer from up there. And sadly enough, I don't really remember ever hearing of it... :(
Great quiz.
Shalom, y'all!
L. Bnags
Yeah, the last two are hard. I actually just saw the first Affleck / Damon collaboration in Hebrew school the other day. (Whoops, forgot to write it up on my "Damn" list. Oh well, I had already seen it.) And the other Affleck / Damon one, I've never heard of. Thanks for the "great quiz" remark, "L. Bnags."
11. The Terror, 1963. Nicholson's first I believe.
17. Catch 22, 1970
20. Cool Hand Luke, 1967
29. Talk of the Town, early forties w/Debbie Reynolds
and... 12. is Toy Story if you're talking voices only.
Good job! #12, #17, and #20 are correct. For #11, I was actually thinking of "The Raven", but you are correct that Nicholson and Karloff were in "The Terror" together, so I'll give you credit (although it was not Nicholson's first). "Talk of the Town", however, is wrong; I think you must be thinking of a different movie. "Talk of the Town" does not star Debbie Reynolds, but the correct answer to #29 does.
A few of these I think I know:
Glenn Close/Martin Short in Mars Attacks (I shouldn't know this movie - I hated it)
Goldie Hawn and Drew Barrymore in Everyone Says I Love You
Orson Welles and Peter Sellers in Casino Royale (another dud)
Paul Newman and Dennis Hopper in Cool Hand Luke
Am I right? And do I get a prize?
Well done! All correct, except I gave credit to stumpy for the last one. But I'm afraid the only prize is the satisfaction of being right.
Hey, "Casino Royale" wasn't THAT bad. I actually haven't seen "Mars Attacks" or "Everyone Says I Love You", but I created the question thanks to the wonders of the IMDB. (and of course, "Cool Hand Luke" was a great movie)
Actually, Stumpy beat me on #20. I didn't even read the responses first.
I'd say #4 is The Court Jester.
It is indeed!
21 - I've yet to see it, but from all the talk, this has to be Catch Me If You Can.
Shalom, y'all!
L. Bangs
Naturally
23 - Dick
New here and new at this. Here goes...
6. "High Noon"
9. "The Muppet Movie" with Bob Hope and Richard Pryor, an even stranger pair.
22. The animated "Prince of Egypt".
28. "Start the Revolution Without Me".
You and geek are right on all counts. Good show!
RE: Ben and Matt
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
School Ties
Good Will Hunting
Dogma
Chasing Amy
Glory Daze
I rock! I read an article several months ago (might be a year or so, actually) that listed the films. I'm not sure if there are more, but these are the ones I remember.
Nice going, AAA.
the "I rock!" was ironic, I swear. (shifts eyes and pulls at collar)
Richard Benjamin & George Burns is The Sunshine Boys
Dietrich and Shatner is Judgment at Nuremberg
Spencer Tracy and Ethel Merman -- is that Mad x5 World?
All correct! Sorry I missed this for a couple weeks, stennie.
