Other than the US, Japan has had and continues the greatest film industry and culture. Miyazaki, Kurosawa, and Mizoguchi are my top directors from Japan. I'm a bit of an asian film buff and have seen several hundred films from all asian countries.

Great list. Just narrowing down the Kurosawa films would have been a chore for me. Probably why I've never cloned this list.
