The Boomtown Rats maintain their #1 for a second week. U2 gain 3 new entries, giving them a total of 4 in the top 20: With Or Without You hits #2 and I Still Haven't Found.., Pride (In The Name Of Love) and The Sweetest Thing are also present. REM's luck remains similar to last week: Aftermath is at #6, Near Wild Heaven drops a little to #8.

Other new high-placers this week include the M*A*S*H theme, The Police's Every Little Thing.. and Billy Joel's Just The Way You Are. The final new artists this week are Weird Al, with Couch Potato at #19, and No Doubt, with Don't Speak at #20. Pet Shop Boys, Travis, USA For Africa, Weezer, Oasis, The Beatles and TMBG all stick around for another week too.
