For medical reasons I was recently forced into early retirement, so most days I watch a DVD at lunchtime.
If you liked Starship Troopers, you might want to check out Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation. This film went direct to video so apparently the studio thought it was garbage and its IMDB rating is very low, but... I thought it was great stuff.
ST1 was directed by the remarkable Paul Verhoeven and starred the dazzling Denise Richards. I'm not anxious to see a sequel that doesn't involve them. But I might catch it one one these days. Thanks.

Yes, it is a very poor image - a washed out monochrome. Also, the movie compares unfavorably with The Omega Man. So even with a first class image I would give it no more than 7 / 10.

If you liked 'Last Man' you'll love 'Omega Man'. They are both based on the same novel, I Am Legend by Richard Matheson.

The other day we watched My Fair Lady. According to the accompanying documentary we almost lost this great musical. They had to spend millions restoring the best film elements they could find before they could transfer it to DVD. Needless to say it now looks and sounds wonderful.
