Some of my favourites. Some of these groups are more well-known than others, or have been around longer, but might not be considered mainstream either. ex. Lamb of God, Queensryche, COB. I'd still say they have an 'underground' sound to them. If you have any recommendations on other bands I should check out, please post them.
Sorry dude, but I know next to nothign about metal, and have heard of ALL of those.
You know nothing about metal, and you're familar with Soilwork/Death/Sepultura/Opeth?
Not really familiar, but I've heard songs/albums. Death not as much, but still.
Yeah, I guess some of these bands probably couldn't be classified as underground anymore. I actually based most of this list on an old collection of underground metal of mine, so I guess at that time they might have still been considered underground.
