Good choices with the two King adaptions! Nice to see Creepshow and Dracula there too.

'Dracula' is one of my favourites, because of Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing.
'Creepshow': Because it was a very positive surprise. I watched it and didn't expect very much, but for some reason I really liked it.

Lots of solid classic choices here (The Shining, Halloween, The Haunting), and I'm glad to see someone else thought Sleepy Hollow was that good. Q: Are you defining "Horror" as encompassing or as separate from "Slasher"?

For me, Slasher is just a sort of subgenre of horror.

Interesting. I think I would rank Texas Chainsaw Massacre above Poltergeist in rating the top 10 myself, but both are good movies. Can I ask what specifically you liked about Poltergeist?

1. I haven't yet seen 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre'.
2. What did I like about 'Poltergeist'? Well, let me think. The characters were likable, a few scenes memorable and the effects quite good. Not a masterpiece, but definetly fun.
