The Da Vinci Code? What exactly did you like about it? The beauty of the language? :)

What's wrong with The Da Vinci Code?

Well, everything to my opinion. I simply don't understand the hype. It is very badly researched, the language is awful, the plot is lame... Maybe you can explain me something I don't see in the book? I read it in English and then I read it in Russian (my native language)... well the Russian version was actually better but still I consider it complete shite.

I've read Da Vinci Code in french (is the book better translated? :P ), this is not my top top favorite, but I remember that it was a good suspense and that it was a page turner. I've read it in two shots. Angels and Demons is better in my opinion, for the believable part.

For the list, the only others I have read are Rosemary’s Baby and The Stepford Wives (the one I prefer) by Ira Levin. I was so frustrated while reading them, you probably know what I mean, I like them.

I forgot.

The The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series was amazing and crazy, I like the absurd humor.

I've read Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King in high school around ten years ago. One of the first books not-for-kid I've read. I don't remember everything but I kept a good souvenir (the tower, the guy wants to escape right?). In this time, we read one hour per week all the class the same book (that one) and I really wanted to bring it back at home to finish it (the wait was too long), but the professor didn't want to (the moron).

I've just finished The Devil and Daniel Silverman by Theodore Roszak. I thought that this is maybe your style. I've got the same feelings that when I've read The Stepford Wives and Rosemary's Baby by Ira Levin.
