My Favorite Flicks

  • REALITY BITES--Sometimes, the path to love is juicier when it's paved with defense mechanisms and game-playing. For all of us F-ed up lovahs out there, here is a love story we can relate to.
  • GREAT EXPECTATIONS--Alanis is like Estella. She likes to reel 'em in and then spit 'em out. If you, too, are a heartbreaker, watch Gwyneth squash Ethan Hawke like a bug in this modern-day Dickens adaptation.
  • LABYRINTH--How could David Bowie + Muppets = anything but a good time? Join a young Jennifer Connoly on a musical journey through Jim Henson's fantasia.
  • BRAM STROKER'S DRACULA--I just love this movie. Is it a love story? Is it a horror story? Is it Keanu Reeves' best performance? You be the judge.
  • KAMA SUTRA--I'm obsessed with India, so until I can afford to shop at ABC Carpet & Home, I drool over the ornate scenery of this sensual classic film. You'll get a dose of culture, see a lot of body parts, and learn a few positions in the process.
  • TEEN WITCH--The loveable weeble-like lady from Poltergeist is back to help our socially inept heroine cast a spell on her high school hottie. Haven't we all wished we could be a witch in order to trap a man? Oh, and if that's not enough, there's a cheesy 80's rap/dance battle that will ensure you get served.
  • CAN'T BUY ME LOVE--Head cheerleader slums it out with the school nerd. As someone with a reputation for dating below my social bracket, I can totally relate. Only I never got paid. That kind of sucks.
  • CRAZY/BEAUTIFUL--Kirsten Dunst really did a good job with this one. I love movies about California, movies about teens in love, and movies with hot latin men. You wont roll your eyes once.
  • THE NOTEBOOK--I have never cried so much in my entire life. SO romantic! See it now!
  • DUMB AND DUMBER--One of very few movies that makes me laugh every time I watch it.
  • I HEART HUCKABEES--Exceeded my expectations AND made for a great first date. This movie is awesome, they don't make 'em like this anymore.
