I'll be slowly adding to this list as I've got to remember all the good ones.

Have you seen Hoop Dreams? Also, I can't wait for Spellbound to hit DVD. Everybody I know whose seen it has loved it.
You know, I haven't seen it. So many times I've thought about renting it, but it slips my mind when I'm at the video store. I really want to.
I want to see Spellbound as well. I've heard so many great things about it.
It's great, one of my favorite documentaries, although it took forever for me to be in the right mood to rent it. "Do I feel like a three-hour documentary about two young basketball players? Not really." I was wrong to wait. I know I'm preaching to the choir though, you already said you want to. :-)
Hmm... well, I too am very rarely in the mood for a three-hour documentary about two young basketball players, but if it's as good as you say, maybe I'll borrow it from my brother (who bought it when I told him it was an acclaimed movie about basketball from the 90's; I'm not sure he's ever watched it).
You should definitely borrow it. I don't know how you feel about the sport, but liking basketball is not a prerequisite for liking Hoop Dreams.
