I love anything by Wells, but The Time Machine in particular is one of my favorites.
I've never heard of The Perfume--what is it about?

Perfume is a story about a murder: he´s able to mix the best perfumes ever with his nose, because he can smell whole universe of smells. He, now a famous perfume-creator, wants now to get the ultimate odor. For him is this the smell of young women... Because of his own lack of smell he now create his odor. Through his "smell-mask" he appears to the people no more as the ugly man he really is, but as charming gentleman.
