I hope I don't throw anybody off with this list as it is kinda eclectic (most people who like Linkin Park will not like Great Big Sea or Collective Soul) but I love all sorts of music and these are some of my favorites.

I'd have to say Up which was a Canadian only release of theirs. It has a lot of their best stuff: "The Old Black Rum", "Chemical Worker's Song", "Mari-Mac", "Wave Over Wave" (my favorite). Rant and Roar is my favorite U.S. release so far. It has most of Up plus a few other great ones like "General Taylor", "The Night That Pat Murphy Died", and "Fast As I Can"

Rant and Roar is probably the best place to start. I think I've come to appreciate Turn the most, but I regularly listen to all of them. The live album is fun as GBS is one of the best live bands ever.
