Remember, this is a list of my FAVORITE actresses, not a list of what I consider the BEST actresses.
To be continued....
Cloned From:

How about Katherine Hepburn?
Considered one of the greatest actresses of all time.
Loved her in Holiday and The Philadelphia Story, but I wouldn't call her one of my faves.
You did see "Wing Commander", right? Or "The Loss of Sexual Innocence"?
Yes, but, like I wrote, there are explanations to come and Saffron's has nothing to do with the quality of movies she's been in (or how she looks, for that matter).
Okay, I can hang with that. I have to admit, I feel the same way about Rose...
I'm certainly down with Myrna Loy, that's for damn sure. Have you seen her in Love Me Tonight?
No, but I need to.
Ah, Sarah Polley! Another excellent choice. Have you ever tried to imagine Almost Famous with her instead of Spawn of Hawn, whatever the hell her name is?
Yes, I imagine that it would have been better, but not *that* much better. I mean, have you ever seen a more boring movie about rock 'n roll in the seventies? Gawd.
Yes! Yes! That's what I keep saying! Why does no one agree with me????
I actually like Almost Famous, and, to offer an incredibly weak defense, I kinda thought Stillwater was supposed to be a boring band. (But I didn't find the movie boring.)
Really? I always thought that they were supposed to be a Zeppelin/Skynrd hybrid. Plus, why would Crowe want to make a movie about a boring 1970s rock band?
Well, they seemed to me like a Zeppelin/Skynyrd hybrid, only, you know, minus the Zeppelin, making them uber-boring in my opinion. But the movie aint really about the band, one that Phillip Seymour Bangs hates, but about the kid and the groupie and the lifestyle. That's what I remember at least, and admittedly, my memory aint worth jack.
Yes, the band was boring and so was the kid and Penny Lane in my opinion. Woulda been more interesting if Hudson's "band aid" had been slightly more self-destructive.
Right on!! to Monica Belluci and Myrna Loy.
Jessica Harper! Oh man, you gotta see Phantom of the Paradise next time it's on. She's not in it as much as she could be, and she dances rather dorkily, but still...
I saw this last year on DVD, actually. I thought it was pretty silly, but fun. Can't remember what I scored it; probably somewhere in the low-to-mid fifties.
Only low-to-mid fifties? Really? Wow.
