It seems Movie good taste is genetic.
He says thank you. So do I.
Hey, is The Castle the Australian film from 97?
If so, I've got to watch that. I always pick up the box at the DVD store but I end up setting it down because it looks too slight for the occasion, no matter what the occasion is.
Also which Breathless? Godard or Gere? Is the Draftman's Contract the same as Peter Greenaway's The Draughtsman's Contract? Also, I think Galipoli might have an extra L in it, as in Gallipoli.
Good list! ;-)
Indeed, The Castle in the '97 film. It is wildly funny, and directed by Rob Sitch, who also directed the wonderful The Dish. Similar to Spinal Tap in its dead pan humor, it also manages to be very affectionate to the characters, never demeaning them.
Breathless would be the Godard version, which is also a personal favorite of mine (it runs in the family).
As for the Draughtman's Contract, I was hoping somebody would tell me if that was the incorrect spelling, I went for the simple spelling because it was late when I updated this and IMDb was taking too long to load. Thanks for the correction.
Also, the misspelling of Gallipoli was completely unintentional, thanks for the pointer.
