bubbling under:
Hour of the Wolf, Goto Isle of Love, Gabbeh, Chikamatsu Monogatari, The White Balloon, Belle de Jour, Monday Morning, Chunhyang, The Marriage of Maria Braun, Le Plaisir, Days and Nights in the Forest, The Saragossa Manuscript, The Mascot, Marius trilogy, Salt for Svanetia, Nostalghia, Le Souffle au Coeur, In the Mood for Love, The Music Room, Les Vampires, Two Stage Sisters, Arsenal, Anne and Muriel, People on Sunday, High and Low, Black God White Devil, Talk to Her, Tierra, Show me Love, To Live, Twilight Samurai, Fireworks...
So Truffaut, Kitano, Fassbinder + Almodovar all just miss the 100! Hardly anything from Africa and Latin America, or by women (i do like Samira Makhmalbaf). My favourite by Von Trier is Dogville which doesn't count. Wenders would have another if Paris, Texas was allowed.
