This is NOT a commentary on the music itself, just an observation that, when I peruse my teenagers' CD racks, 80% of the musicians' names don't sound familiar to me! this list is just a smattering of the many, many I don't know. Happily, their collections include some artists I know well: Pink Floyd, Queen, etc.

what do u mean 'luckily'?
dude you didn't allow comments on your ABBA list, but I just wanted to say that I LOVE ABBA too!!!!!
Super Trouper, Move On, Does Your Mother Know?, Take a Chance on Me are my favorites! YAY ABBA! Did you hear they turned down all that money to tour again! I am so sad.
Oops, no comments was just a mistake. I'm new so I didn't know how to do this. Yay ABBA--and I can't believe they turned down mega millions to tour. ABBA is what we need right now! Dancing Queen rules!
OH man. someone has to educate this poor mommy!! HEHE :-)
well, they seem to be doing ok by me--the major exception being Color Me Badd. (note the superflous extra D.) they brought us such lovely numbers as "I wanna sex you up" and "I adore (mi amor)"--i'm thinking the world has done well without them.
i'm not sure about The Vidalias (country?) or Shai (R&B?). i've heard good things about Heather Nova and Digable Planets, and the Spin Doctors and Soup Dragons may be a bit outdated, but i once thought they were cool too... by far the greatest selections are The Smiths and Duncan Sheik.
