I heard there is a Janis Joplin movie one the way either this year or next. Joaquin Phoenix is going to be playing Johnny Cash in his biopic called Walk The Line. The Doors Have already been done. Beatles semi-done in the movie Back Beat. Other mentionables are: John Lee Hooker, The Who, Robert Johnson, James Brown, Quincy Jones, Elton John, Miles Davis, Queen, and Sonny & Cher.
Mainy moons from now, when I am collecting social security, someone will probably conceive a Madonna biopic or maybe even a Tori Amos biopic. Let's see, I am 25 now, 40 more years until I am 65. Madonna and Amos will both be alive still. So maybe a little longer than that.

I'd say The Manic Street Preachers for Ritchie's dissappearance, but there isn't an end to the story.

The Mean Street Preachers? FOr a movie? I like the title of the band, sounds obscure and original. What, are they a Jam band?

Damnit. Can't get used to creating links here. I was going to post a link to their entry on Wikipedia. Anyway, the Manics are a Welsh rock band with I think 9 albums to their name. They were one of the biggest British bands of the nineties. Known for their socialist views, and political lyrics, and the mysterious dissapearance (alleged suicide) of ex-bass player Richey Edwards.

Sounds like a worthwhile band to chronicle in a movie. Rock socialists can be the most interesting, especially if they are obscure or somewhat independent.
