Ratings may change minutely without notice, as it usually takes a few listens for me to get a handle on what I think of an album.

I will gladly trade copies for something in your collection, if interested.

So the Kaiser Chiefs album aint too bad, then? I've been thinking about picking it up.

Think Madness meets The Clash, circa the new millenium. It was certainly worth what I paid for it, if you know what I mean. ;-)

Gotcha. That's about the only price I'll pay for music, nowadays.

Yup, it's nice to see the corporate rock overlords getting what's coming to them after years of overcharging for mostly bad music.

What do the Bravery sound like?

Think The Strokes with more new wave, 80s, and dance influences. That's the best I can do in one sentence. They just played a free concert here last week, and I bet they are touring and playing free dates across the nation to drum up some love.

Shalom, y'all!

Thanks. That's more than enough to let me know I can skip it and save my money for all the guaranteed good stuff coming out in April and May.

Glad I could help!

Shalom, y'all!

LBangs is right on about The Bravery. Still, it's a quality album if you're into that kinda stuff, like I am.

I guess the new Moby album was disappointing, then?

Ah well. Wasn't my FAVORITE artist (although I'm a fan).

Wow, I haven't thought of Big Black in ages! Have you heard/do you like Shellac?

Actually, no, I haven't heard the Shellac albums. I'll have to root around for them. How do they compare to Big Black?

Pretty similar with Steve Albini on guitar and vocals again. Driving, abrasive, stripped down style. Perhaps check out "At Action Park".

[58] Electric Version (2003, New Pornographers)

Buh?

[42] Chutes Too Narrow (2003, The Shins)

Guh?

Yeah, buh? Guh?

Buh?

Guh?

;-)

Smart ass!
