  2. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)(Fincher) [A] Probably my favorite movie of 2008. David Fincher is amazing. He managed to make a film just as good as Zodiac.
  3. Hancock (2008)(Berg)[C] The first half of this movie is good, the last half is terrible
  4. The Ex [C] Some funny scenes, but mostly forgettable
  5. Blue Velvet (1986)(Lynch)[B] This movie is messed up, but only about half as messed up as Inland Empire if that tells you anything
  6. The Visitor (2008) (McCarthy)[A]Very heartwarming film.
  7. Pineapple Express (2008) (Green)[C]Hard to believe this is from the same guy that directed All The Real Girls. It was funny in spots, but the third act falls apart.
  8. My Best Friend's Girl (2008)[C]Dane Cook is funny, but the premise just kind of falls flat... and Kate Hudson can do better than romantic comedies in which she's just getting played all the time.
