In addition to keeping track of all the books I read, I'm going to try and do the same with all of the movies I see this year.

The one-letter codes next to the titles refers to how I watched the movie. Here's the key:

[T] - Saw at the movie theater
[R] - Rented (Blockbuster or Netflix mainly)
[C] - Cable TV

The list will probably grow fairly slowly, mainly because I'm taking a night class and the reading for that class eats into a bunch of my movie watching time. :)

I have seen the "Incredibles", and I enjoyed that very much. What was your opinion on it? And is "Coffee And Cigarettes" any good?

I thought The Incredibles was fantastic. Pixar can do no wrong. I think I enjoyed it more than Finding Nemo.

Coffee and Cigarettes on the other hand was pretty lousy. I really looked forward to it, mainly because of the cast, but too much of it is slow, awkward, and, well, not good at all. Jarmush could have trimmed the first half of the movie off, and just left the final 4 or so vignettes. If you get it, stick it out until the end, when it finally gets good.

Thanks for the advice. ;)

hey bill. i ask this of nearly everynoe but what did you think of Garden State? i thought it was good but slightly overrated and it seemed like at too many moments it was trying to be cool.

I think you're right on with that assessment. I thought it was pretty good. It had several *great* moments, but overall it was just good.

Having said that, this is Braff's first film, and just based on this, I'm sure we'll see something better later.. once he gets over the hipness. :)
