ever wish they had smoking sections in movie theatres? mom was right--there are some flicks that glamorize cigarettes...
If you like All About Eve, another Bette Davis smoking movie is Now, Voyager. She and her married lover share a cigarette every time they meet, and it is very sexy.

i like this list idea...my friend lea and i are both smokers (me more so than her)...we just have that trouble in some movies...not necessarily those that even glamorize smoking...it's just those that constantly show people smoking...yeah. then we both look at each other and yearn for a smoking section and a cigarette...GIRL INTERRUPTED was one of those...i'd like to see it again and count how many cigarettes winona alone smokes....:)
i'm not sure what you're referring to in *heathers*....i remember the scene when J.D. (christian slater) burns veronica's (winona's) palm with the car lighter....OUCH....
yes, and then he lights his own cigarette from her hand. so i suppose i should've written "lighter" instead of ashtray... you know what i mean.
yeah! i forgot about that part. hee. sorry about getting so specific....i still like your list though, didn't mean for criticism to be the main point of my last comment...

Hal Hartley films usually have great smoking scenes, especially Amateur.
Which, of course, doesn't help me kick my horrible habit in the least...
