Movies I've Watched The Most Times

Holy cow! Are you aware that at the rate of one movie per night, with no breaks for weekends, holidays, illnesses, March Madness, etc., that adds up to two years and 19 days of movie watching?! Cool. So can you quote One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest word-for-word from memory?

I wish I'd kept track of my counts for rewatched movies. I was just about to add counts to the DVDs I own, but of course the numbers will be quite low. I haven't decided how to estimate the counts for movies that I'd previously owned on VHS, as I haven't kept track of those, and some I've rewatched a bunch.

I can get close to reciting the whole damn movie Jim, yes. I would watch that movie 2 or 3 times a day. I decidded to keep track of that kind of stuff when I realized I was rewatching these movies so often. There are others I've seen many times that are not listed. I.E. Dr. Strangelove, Apocalypse Now, Midnight Cowboy etc.

I was just stumbling around in The Jblack Forest when suddenly I came upon [to coin a phrase] this list. My butt immediately got sore in sympathy with yours. You've seen ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA seventy seven times? Do you realise that makes you the world authority on Robert DeNiro's mole? The thing's over three hours long! - the movie, not the mole. And do you realise that watching 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY more than twice is legal grounds for committment to a lunatic asylum in most states? But don't worry, Jack Nicholson will probably bust you out with some heavy item of bathroomware or an axe.

THE SHINING is rather addictive, isn't it. Have you watched it in Italian with English Subtitles For The Hearing Impaired? - real hoot - (my favorite is GROUNDHOG DAY in German). And have you seen The Simpsons send up of TS? "That's odd! The blood usually gets off at the second floor."

Mr. Black, there is a man at work here who is on a crusade to get me to watch The Survivors, as it is his favorite comedy. I had never heard of the film until he mentioned, but I admit, I'm a bit wary of his taste, so I haven't made the effort to track it down. Now I see you have seen it 109 times!

So, tell me about this film, if you would be so kind. I'm officially interested.

Shalom, y'all!

Well.. i have a review over Survivors. You should read it. And there is so many funny yet corny lines in it. I found it addictive.

Ah, I hadn't noticed...

Thanks, I think I'll have to check it out if I see it for rental anywhere around here.

Again, thanks for pointing that review out. Sounds worth a shot.

Shalom, y'all!
