Disclaimer--I've been without tv for quite some time (no movies there) and my work schedule doesn't allow many at the theatre. I work with kids, thus all the kids' movies, and my roommate rents some. Other than that, if I own it, I'm likely to pop it in when there's nothing better to do! I will add more as I remember/see them...check back!
1. Shaft--I really liked this movie. Samuel L. Jackson is one of my favorites, and I am a product of the 70's.
2. X-Men--Fun, even though I'd never seen the comic. My boyfriend didn't think there was enough action, but the special effects were alright.
3. Toy Story--A favorite of the kids with whom I work. I've probably seen it 3-4 times in the last two weeks! Whoever may be avoiding this movie (for whatever reason) should rent it now!
4. Alice--Hadn't seen it in 20+ years, although I own it. Couldn't get into it this time. Kids weren't much impressed either.
5. The Matrix--I only watched this because my boyfriend wanted to. I DESPISE KEANU. He sucks. He really sucks in this movie. This movie had the exact same plot of another I watched last summer, but I can't remember the name--anyone?
6. Fried Green Tomatoes--I love this movie. I watch it whenever I need to shed a tear or two.
7. If Lucy Fell--I also love this movie. My roommate rented it the other night, but said it got too serious near the end, so she turned it off. It reminds me of a best friend I once had...nostalgia is always a big factor for me.
8. Fx--Although this movie is in my collection, I have no idea where it came from. Probably some roommate in college. I was unimpressed, and probably would have been in the 80's or whenever it came out too.
9. Grand Canyon--Another from my collection. I had to write a paper on it in college for one of my favorite professors--the nostalgia factor again. But it really is a good movie, I think. Boyfriend got bored. Roommate went to her room. Oh well--I finished it alone and will watch it again!
