Ummm... what? Is it August already where you live - in another dimension perhaps?

lol just counting it early so i can get more movies on my list hehe

Wow, you thought The Village was M. Night's best? How so?

well maybe not. it does have some great scary moments, and i love the idea of this contrived world they live in, that really appealed to me. well too think about it "Sixth sense" was amazing and i really liked Unbreakable as it was alot darker than the others. didnt like signs compared to the other ones but its stil a cool movie. but yes i do really like "The Village" but thinking about it maybe not his best that may go to "6th sense" but i should watch that again

Damn it, every time I glimpse the word "Innocents" I get madder that I can't find a copy anywhere.

yeah, "innocence" is a great movie when ever you do find one be it VHS DVD or on tv, i really recommend you watch it.

Ooooh, didn't notice before that you'd seen 187. What did you think of it?

yes, and by the way you worded im guessing youve seen it also. i thought it was great, the acting was really good and the russian roulette scene was griping. At times it was sad, sometimes it was funny but very very good and well written movie. i hear it was written by a teacher.

yeah, I really liked it too.

What did you think of From Dusk Till Dawn? I thought it was terrible.

Well, the first half was great, very much like any other tarantino movie. it was really good,. funny, violent and looked great!.....

Then...
Vampires appeared..and i mean just appeared..why? i dont know, im sure QT himslef didn't even know. but...it was an "OK" move. i thought it would be to crazy and yes on many levels it was. but i just forced myself to think that this is NOW a Vampire movie. Not a QT movie and in that sense i was able to enjoy it, i thought it was a good laugh. so yeah i'd say if i did or didn't like it, i would have to say .."I Did". i thuoght it was a great intense movie for the first 45 mins then when the vimpires came it was more of just a Fun movie. But...I liked it.

Did you enjoy Nanook of the North? That it was kind of a 'staged documentary' took something away from it, but I still enjoyed the hell out of it.

oh Nanook was great. yes i mean there were bits where it was staged but i think that like you, i still enjoyed it. i thought the way the text inserts were used were great with the music and picture, really strengthening the point. i also liked the sign of really early product placement. it was funded by a popular fur company and..you guessed it, they were seen actually going and BUYING fur from a trader. great! which i guess they wouldn't of done if this was not staged, they probably just killed your nearest animal. also another bit that was probably changed to connote the directors view was the fact they used spears but in real life they might of had a hunters pistol or some kind of gun and just shot the animal, though i'm sure they had spears too! in all i loved it, thought it was well put together and very gripping. it was my 2nd silent film watched (the first being "The Lodger") no thats i a lie, i did watch first 20 mins of "Man with a movie camera"

(ps-my favourite bit of Nanook was the ice used as a window! so cool!)
