Movies I'm Looking Forward To In 2005
- The Hitchhiker's Guie to the Galaxy
- Revenge of the Sith
- Chicken Little
- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
- King Kong
- War of the Worlds
- Fantastic Four
- Underworld: Evolution
- Batman Begins
HHGTTG - I've been waiting for twenty years to see this on the big screen. And with all the passion for the books that was put into creating this new franchise (fingers crossed), I don't think I'll be disappointed.
Revenge of the Sith - Now this, on the other hand, I'm already set to be disappointed with. After the clumsiness and continuity-out-the-window of the first two, it's only saving grace for me is to see The Man In Black back in action.
Chicken Little - I am not a big fan of the crop of computer animated movies of late. They're passable at best (at their worst, they're Shrek and Shrek 2), but the trailer for this really made me want to see it.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - Tim Burton's take on Dahl's book. Johhny Depp as a dandy Wonka. My curiousity is peeked.
King Kong - I've been a fan of Peter Jackson since Meet the Feebles and Dead Alive, and after the LOTR trilogy, you know what the man can do with an epic movie and an epic budget.
War of the Worlds - Spielberg. Cruise. Alien Invasion.
Fantastic Four - Comic Book Junkie. 'Nuff Said.
Underworld: Evolution - Yes, the first Underworld left a lot to be desired, but I have two words for you: Kate Beckinsale.
Batman Begins - Throwing the last four movies into the rubbish, Warner Bros. is starting anew, with a story loosely based on Frank Miller's Batman: Year One. Add to that the greatest Batman casting in history (my most favorite actor, Gary Oldman, as Jim Gordon)and this becomes one not to be missed.

...but I have two words for you: Kate Beckinsale.
Amen, brother. I'm with you on this one, for sure.
