There are very few Movies I will re-watch but all of these I enjoy, seeming to find new things each time

I have often thought of rewatching Grosse Pointe Blank, and I'm glad to hear it holds up under multiple viewings. I will definitely have to see it again. You should check out Zero Effect with Bill Pullman.

somebody please tell me what's so special about 12 monkies!?

Well I personally will admit to being favorably predisposed to pretty much anything Terry Gilliam directs. As for 12 Monkeys specifically, I thought Bruce Willis a Brad Pitt both did good jobs (Willis not once smirking, and Pitt being appropriately manic). Some of the images were great (like the animals running wild in what used to be a overpopulated city). And I enjoyed the plot, although I understand it has a short-film predecessor (whose title escapes me), that was better. And I found it suspenseful in that I didn't know if Willis would be able to prevent the plague or not.

I loved 12 Monkeys because of its exploration of the working of the human mind under stress, and just how far it can be pushed. You also get to see the point of view of someone who is telling the truth and is the only person who knows it to be true. The moving back and forth between several times appropriately mimics the turmoil James Cole (Willis) is going through. Perhaps the end is also a statement on how humans hurt themselves when police officers shoot Cole at the very moment he is going to prevent the plague (read global warming, wars) Brad Pitt's performance is amazing too.

And I like any movie that deal with the future, because it is about the future, its exciting!! What will happen? I love Bladerunner, and Terminator too! Terminator is the perfect action movie =) Gotta check out the rest of these movies.
