no, there was a different character who looked almost identical to Gillian Anderson. i don't even know the other person had a line. but when i saw the film recently i thought, that's Gillian Anderson, but it wasn't.
Looks like you're right. I looked up Gillian Anderson on IMDB and she never did that film. I don't remember where I heard that, but that woman sure did look like her. Her name was Evelyn Gardner, played by someone named Bitty Schram.
