Would you mind telling me a bit about the Story of Libraries? I'm curious. Non-fiction?

I'm not entirely sure that public libraries aren't one of the greatest flowers of our civilization...

Shalom, y'all!

I don't know much yet considering I just bought it yesterday, but yes it's non-fiction. A history of the concept of a library it appears.

Very nice. If you don't mind, be sure to post your thoughts on the book when you finish it.

Thanks!

Will do, though with my mostly random "which book should I read next?" method and my huge backlog, that could be awhile.

I ordered a batch on the internet
(click the link to see the book reviews on Amazon) :

Tom O'Bedlam by Robert Siverberg (second hand hardback - 1st Edition)

Majipoor Chronicles by Robert Siverberg (second hand hardback)

At Winter's End by Robert Siverberg (second hand hardback)

The Book of Skulls by Robert Siverberg (second hand paperback)

The Eyre Affair by Japer Fforde (new paperback)

The Man Who Folded Himself by David Gerrold (second hand paperback)

Achilles by Elizabeth Cook (new paperback)

I ordered them mostly on

eBay

Amazon

or Abebooks

I've got the Eyre Affair but have yet to read it.

I have read Earth Abides, and it is excellent, certainly worth bumping up your list.

Since my last posting, I have also read The Book of Skulls (excellent) and The Man Who Folded Himself (good) - amongst others.

I have also acquired a massive batch of new purchases (to follow).

I don't know if you got to read Earth Abides yet, but I can recommend it. I read it some years ago and it is great.

Cool. My unread stack is rather long right now and my method of picking the next book is very random, so no I haven't gotten around to it yet, but thanks for reinforcing my choice to purchase it :)
