- The Beatles~The Biggest names in music of all time; John, Paul, George, and Ringo. They spelled out what pop music was and what pychadelic was and what music afterwards was. The first band to ever use feedback on a guitar. Nothing was ever the same. You can say what ever you want about The Beatles; except that they suck. That's just not truthful.
- Bob Dylan~This man invented music as we know it today. Yes, that is a huge generalization, but it is so true. He was the prety much the first to make music the way we listen to it, and said it in the smartest, most poetic way possible. There is not a musician recording today who hasn't been directly or indirectly influenced by Dylan.
- Led Zeppelin~Though Hendrix was the first to really shred on the guitar, and Clapton also was around doing his thing before they burst on the scene, it was Led Zeppelin who totally redefined what the guitar and what Rock music really was. Four rock virtuosos (Page had a wonderful voice) that when together could do whatever the hell they wanted. They invented what critics call Heavy Metal, and could play any style of mucis while still maintaining thier very original sound.
- Elvis Presly~ I am not a big Elvis fan, but I will easily awknowlage his impact on music. He helped create Rock 'n roll and broke racial boundires so we whiteys could enjoy the music too.
- Jimi Hendrix~The Legend of electric guitar. He did things no one had dreamed of on that instrument that was totally unheard of at the time. He made the sound that all guiarists what to sound like. You can't listen to a single guitar solo, and many of instruments' solos, and hear shades of Jimi Hendrix or Jimmy Page on there.
- Robert Johnson~Blues man who sold his soul to the devil. From someone who only recorded twice, has had pobably the longest-lasting impact of all music. From that simple acoustic blues he thought up, musicans worked off that, and morte musicans worked off them and so on. He is blues.
- Miles Davis~ Is THE jazz musican. The man is f'n amazing. He invented fusion jazz, and was Miles ahead of everyone at any given point in his musical career.
- Jaco Pastorius~You can't say 'bass' without talkingabout Jaco. He redfined the instrument from a backup, walking bassline to a powerful soloing vehicle. One of the biggest influcences on jazz music of all time. His full band arrangemants are just wondeferful.
