can someone please explain this phenomenon? do these bands just appeal to the equivalent of slasher/horror fans in the music scene? i realize KISS broke ground in their day, but there seems to be a twisted resurgence happening--what kind of monsters have they created? i'm curious to hear your thoughts. (also, additions are welcome.)
