first tier: mags i consume nearly all of the content
second tier: has commendable features but doesn't quite hit the target every time
third tier: mags i sometimes do/would enjoy but have certain reservations about
new question: has anybody seen that new "shopping magazine" called Lucky? it has little stickers you can put throughout (yes, no, maybe)... i'm not sure how i feel about this. how is this different from a catalog? is it just so they can make you pay for it?

National Geographic and This Old House are pretty much my top tier right now, although I did enjoy Wired when it first came out, and I went through a Harpers phase as well. I'm going to have to check out Budget Living. I'll put it next to the "Frontgate" catalog I keep inexplicably receiving and see which one bursts into flames.
