Live Performances seen in 2002

  • Two Planks and A Passion Theatre presents Halo, a play by Josh MacDonald: This was a great play about how a small town family deals with a personal tragedy while at the same time an image of Jesus appears on the wall of a local coffee shop and the media frenzy that follows. The play was very funny, touching and all around entertaining. My sister was the stage manager and they did an audition of the play in Toronto just before touring the Maritimes, so it might possibly be going across Canada or at least to Toronto. I highly suggest going to see it if it comes anywhere near by. I do not think you will be disappointed.

I figure if I make lists for movies I should make lists for plays that I see as well. They may be less likely to be seen by other people since the same plays are not shown in every city and town around the world like movies are. Who knows maybe there are other Listologiers in my neck of the woods here in Nova Scotia or maybe the same play is being put on in your home town.

I do not get to see as many plays as I would like to. I always enjoy them when I go but tend to only get to three or four a year. This year even less then that, so far only one and it is already December. The plays I do see tend to be ones my sister works in (she is a professional stage manager), but lately she has been spending more time in other provinces so my play viewing as gone down. I really need to start seeing some that she is not involved in because they are usually very good entertainment.
